Avista Travel
‘In what is becoming an increasingly complex market, it is comforting to be working with an organisation that has a strong sense of purpose and is focused on adding real commercial value to it’s members’
When a travel agent with Tony Quinn’s experience was the first to join the fastest growing travel consortium in the UK it’s worth taking a look at why. Tony worked in the travel industry for almost 25 years – many of them with Thomas Cook and for the past 9 years plus, he has run his independent business Avista Travel in Barrowford, Lancashire, as a member of The Freedom Travel Agents’ Consortium. He joined Freedom in order to give his agency the chance to grow in a competitive independent market.
Being part of The Freedom Travel Agents’ Consortium has taken care of a number of issues for Tony.
Long term security
As a member he has access to all of the deals secured for Freedom by The Co-operative Travel Group thanks to the £1 billion buying power of the Co-operative Travel Trading Group. He also gets free ABTA membership, latest PDQ technology, low credit card transaction charges – and the ability to package holidays for customers using The Freedom Travel Group Consortium ATOL licence.
Tony knows that being part of The Freedom Travel Group Consortium allows him to focus on what’s best for his business and he is evangelical about the future for independent travel agents and believes that if they structure their business to focus on what they are best at, they have a rosy future.
Make more money
Tony explained: “The package that Freedom offers, allows me to concentrate on the areas that are going to add the greatest value to my business – the greatest value to my business – the sales and service development – without losing my independence".
Leading edge Travel Technology
“Having a tried and tested operating structure such as the TARSC system as part of the deal was also a great benefit. I looked closely at all of the options available for my business before choosing Freedom and as I look around today at other consortia, I’m glad I chose Freedom”.
