Alison Holmes

Sales & Operations Manager

I have been in the travel industry for over 20 years in both retailing and tour operating. My current role is to assist and support Freedom Members on a daily basis and I also oversee the Sales & Recruitment Managers, Conformity, Training and Audit.

I joined Freedom in 2004, as a Sales Development Manager for the North of England & Scotland, which then expanded into a National role and in 2005 became Deputy to the General Manager.  One of the best parts of my role is getting out and about visiting Freedom members, listening to how we can improve, and develop, our services to them.

Gillian Bray

Sales & Recruitment Manager, North & Scotland

I have been in the travel industry for 25 years working in both retailing and tour operating and joined Freedom in 2005 as Sales & Recruitment Manager for North & Scotland.

Part of my role is to recruit new members to Freedom, this involves meeting with potential applicants to gain an understanding of their business or their new business plan and to discuss the benefits of Freedom and how it can work for them. The other part of my role is to offer ongoing support and sales development to both new and existing members with regular visits and telephone calls.

Diane Court

Sales & Recruitment Manager, South & Midlands

I am responsible for meeting with potential new members.  I also spend time offering support to the existing members which means I do spend a fair amount of my time on the road. 

I have been in the travel industry since the 1970’s and although it has changed over the years I still really enjoy it, I started my career with Horizon Midlands who were based in Birmingham. After that I continued in the industry spending 10 years with Gold Medal and over 2 years with Virgin Holidays and am delighted to now be a part of the Co-operarative Group as The Freedom Travel Group Sales and Recruitment Manager for the Midlands and South.

As you can tell, I am very passionate about travelling and my favourite destination is South Africa. 

Clare Wilson

Homeworker/Member Support Manager

I manage both the Freedom Support Team and the Co-operative Personal Travel Advisors Support Team. My main role is to ensure that myself and my teams provide robust support to our members and homeworkers.I also deal with communications and operational policies and procedures.
I have worked for The Co-operative Travel Group most of my working life.I started as a 15 year old YTS (some time ago) in retail and progressed to Branch Manager,managing various stores around Stoke on Trent.I moved to Future Travel as a sales development manager in 2007,then onto Homeworker Support Manager in 2009.I then joined Freedom in 2010.

I am married and I enjoy travelling and going to the gym (although I don't go as often as I should!)

Rhian Herbert

Operations Support Manager

I moved to Freedom Travel Group in 2004 after over 8 years in the retail division and now have 15 years service with the Co-operative Travel Group. As Operations Manager my role incorporates many areas including System Training, Audit evaluation and supporting the members in all areas including systems and administrative procedures. Most of my time is spent on the road visiting our branches & call centres making sure we support them in using and getting the most out of our technology.

Out of work I enjoy spending time in my new home where I live with my boyfriend, although you will find a lack of furniture due to me not being able to give up my holidays.....yet!

Dawn Gamble

Financial Accounts Supervisor

My main role is to calculate the commission payments to all Freedom members and also the Future Travel homeworkers, run and monitor various reports on the Tarsc system, on which I am an expert! I manage all aspects of finance within Freedom and also deal with any audits, tour operator failures and fraud.

I have been with the business 10 years (of which 2 years working for Future Travel, 2 years within the Group accounts department, 1 year working as a PA within Coop Retail and 5 years working in Freedom)

I am married and have 3 step children. I enjoy going to the cinema, reading and solving puzzles on my Nintendo DS!
