I have worked in the travel industry all of my working life in both tour operating and retailing, at a senior level. My role within Freedom is strategic in terms of the growth and positioning of the Freedom Travel Group in the Consortia marketplace. I also need to ensure that we are always offering the very best in support to our members – our success depends on theirs!

I have been in the travel industry for over 20 years in both retailing and tour operating. My current role is to assist and support Freedom Members on a daily basis and I also oversee the Sales & Recruitment Managers, Conformity, Training and Audit. I joined Freedom in 2004, as a Sales Development Manager for the North of England & Scotland, which then expanded into a National role and in 2005 became Deputy to the General Manager.  One of the best parts of my role is getting out and about visiting Freedom members, listening to how we can improve, and develop, our services to them

My role as Sales & Recruitment Manager - North & Scotland is to recruit new members, I meet with potential applicants to gain an understanding of their business or their new business plan, and discuss the benefits of Freedom and how it can work for them. The other part of my role is to offer ongoing support and sales development to both new and existing members. I have been in the industry for 24 years and joined Freedom in 2005l.

I have been in the travel industry since the 1970’s and started my career with Horizon Midlands who were based in Birmingham. After that i continued in the industry spending 10 years with Gold Medal and over 2 years with Virgin Holidays and am delighted to now be a part of the Co-operarative Group as The Freedom Travel Group Sales and Recruitment Manager for the Midlands and South. As you can tell, i am very passionate about travelling and my favourite destination is South Africa.

As Membership manager, I am based at the Support Centre in Stoke answering members’ day to day questions, as well as being the main point of contact for all communication to members.  
I have been in travel 18 years since leaving school.  I was a homeworker for Future Travel, moved to head office admin and then joined Freedom in 2002, so I bring a wealth of operating knowledge to Freedom. I am supported by Jayne Millward and Karen Meigh.

My primary role is processing membership applications and to provide ongoing support for members. I have worked in the travel industry for a very long time and have years of retail travel experience

I have worked for the Coop for 10 years.

Dawn Gamble

Financial Accounts Supervisor

My main role is to calculate the commission payments to all Freedom members, run and monitor various reports on the Tarsc system, on which I am an expert! I am also the Teletext point of contact within the Freedom team and manage all aspects of finance within Freedom
I have been with the business 9 years (of which 2 years working for Future Travel, 2 years within the Group accounts department, 1 year working as a PA within Coop Retail and 4 years working in Freedom)

My role is to support Dawn with commissions for Members, and associated finance queries. I have been with Freedom for 1 year however, I have worked for  the Cooperative for 20 years – including Retail, Future Travel and Shared Finance (Bank Rec). 

Richard Simpson

Conformity Manager

My main role is the training and induction of new members on the Tarsc/Athena system. I also spend time with members discussing Co Op group policies; I am also key contact for questions and policies relating to ABTA and ATOL. I have completed 10 years service with the Co-operative Travel

I moved to Freedom Travel Group in 2004 after over 8 years in the retail division and now have 13 years service with the Cooperative Travel Group. As Operations Manager my role incorporates many areas including System Training, Audit evaluation and supporting the members in all areas including systems and administrative procedures.
